Nothing about a supporter lives outside the record
A supporter is one record whether they give, volunteer, or do both. Gifts, standing instructions, receipts, shifts, hours, event attendance, communication preferences and the note someone wrote after a phone call all attach to the same profile. When the person who built the relationship moves on, the relationship does not leave with them.

Engagement read from behaviour, not from a calendar
Recency alone is a blunt instrument. It flatters the lapsed donor who gave last month out of habit and punishes the loyal annual giver whose March gift is three weeks away. HOPEAQUE combines giving frequency measured against that donor's own rhythm, gift-size direction, appeal response, event presence and volunteer activity, and shows the contribution of each.

A flag with no instruction is just anxiety. Every drifting supporter arrives with the signal that triggered it and a suggested action drawn from what has re-engaged similar supporters before: a call from the programme lead, the outcome note that was promised after a field visit, or an invitation back as a volunteer before any ask.

HOPEAQUE ranks and suggests. It does not send anything to a supporter on its own, and it will not decide that a relationship is over. A score of 27 on a donor who just lost a family member is a number that needs a human reading it, which is why the signals behind every score stay visible.
Nobody plans to lose them. It happens in the gap between appeals.
